The West Mamprusi District Directorate of Education is divided into eleven (11) circuits. They include Walewale East, Walewale West, Walewale Central, Kpasenkpe West, Kpasenkpe East, Kparigu, Yagaba, Yiziesi, Kubori, Tinguri, Janga,. Three of these eleven circuit are located at the ‘over sea’ ares ( Kubori, Yagaba and Yiziesi circuits).

PUPIL/STUDENT ENROLMENT IN BASIC SCHOOLS
According to the District Directorate of education statistics for 2010/2011 academic year, the Distrct recorded 25,099 pupils in 110 primary schools, 7,664 in 49 JHS, 

SECONDARY EDUCATION



The District has two secondary schools, a Vocational school and Secretariat School. All located in Walewale except Wulugu Senior High School which located in Wulugu about 12km from Walewale on the Bolga road. The schools include Walewale Senior High Technical School, Wulugu senior High School, Walewale Vocational School and Excellence College International. The two Senior High Schools have 3,277 enrolments in 2010/2011 academic year.



PARTNERS
The main partner is the District Assembly which provides school infrastructure and incentives for teachers’ best awards. Other partners include World Vision international, CAMFED, VSO/TENI, ISODEC, PAGE and PTAs /SMCs
